Trinity Point East Wing, Halesowen College

This was a large-scale change-of-use project, from office accommodation to new teaching facilities, which spanned across 5 floors of the East Wing at Trinity Point in Halesowen.

The works consisted of extensive internal refurbishment and remodelling to deliver a reception area, classrooms, studio, student café, offices and associated ancillary areas. Throughout these new spaces, we were responsible for co-ordinating, supplying, installing, testing, and commissioning the electrical and associated services package, which comprised of the following elements of work:

• Modifications to the existing on-site Transformer, replacing the existing LV Cabinet and associated outgoing circuit protective equipment.
• New 800A LV Switchboard and associated downstream LV Distribution network, fed via new rising busbar systems.
• Primary and Secondary Containment systems, including a bespoke, black powder-coated tray network.
• Small Power systems, including desk power and data modules.
• General Lighting and Emergency Lighting systems. Automatic, dimmable lighting controls.
• Colour change LED lighting systems.
• Fire Detection and Alarm systems.
• Fire Smoke Damper control network wiring.
• Smoke Ventilation and AOV control network wiring.
• Structured Cabling systems (Voice, Data).
• Security Systems (Access Control, Intercom, CCTV, and Intruder Alarm)
• Electric Vehicle Charging points
