Conversion of existing Medical Records Archive into a new Ambulance Decision Area (ADA) and alterations to existing adjacent Majors C Ward to create additional patient bed space, including the general refurbishment of ancillary areas and staff utilities.

The Trust, working in partnership with West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS), has introduced Paramedic-staffed ADA’s to all hospitals which offer emergency care. This enables WMAS staff to transfer patients off ambulances into a safe space, where they can be assessed and have access to testing, treatment and care sooner.

The scope of works for the electrical associated services comprising the supply, installation, testing, commissioning and certification of the following disciplines:-

• Enabling works to maintain the operation of Majors C whilst works progressed on the new ADA.
• Relocation of existing MCCB Panel Board, and the installation of new protective devices.
• Sub-mains Cabling
• New LV Distribution Equipment with Energy Metering to BS EN 62053
• Cable support and Containment systems
• Main earthing Terminal and associated equipotential earth bonds
• Medical Earthing systems
• General and Emergency Lighting systems
• Examination Lighting
• Utility Power systems
• Nurse Call and Medical Trunking systems
• Structured Cabling systems for Data and Voice
• CCTV systems
• Door Access Control systems
• Fire Detection and Alarm
• Testing, commissioning, labelling and certification
• Operation and Maintenance Manuals and associated As Fitted documentation.
