Worcester Royal Hospital - Emergency Lighting Upgrade Worcester

Project Summary -

Replacement, upgrade and installation of over Three Thousand, Two Hundred self-contained LED type emergency light fittings across the entire hospital, which was carried out and completed in just over 12 months.

The project incorporated the following works -

The hospital had to continue working as normal, so our project managers liaised with site managers and staff to formulate and agree a programme of work to access all hospital departments, corridors, stairwells, communal visitor and patient areas, while minimising disruption. At the same time, ‘fall back’ areas were established to enable progress to continue should installation work be stopped or prevented from continuing by departmental operational issues.
The new LED emergency light fittings communicate their status via a wireless mesh network to a remote Gateway, which controls all emergency testing and reporting automatically. This data is periodically uploaded to a website where it is stored securely and displays on a graphical user interface providing an overview of the whole site, through to the performance and operation of an individual luminaire.
