Heath Mount School (Art & Craft Block) Birmingham, West Midlands

Project Summary -

Extension of the school completed with a New Principle Contractor. Extension for pupils Arts & Crafts area. Design and Build project with the council, Architects and Consultants. This included New LED lighting, small power, sub-mains, fire alarm, Voice & Data, Intruder Alarm, Window Actuator system, Lightning Protection. Project completed to a very tight budget and delivery time, therefore this required many hours of meetings for RDJ to confirm the client & Architects requirements were satisfactory. The Electrical Consultant attended Witness Testing at the end of the project and was very happy with the installation. He has also proposed to include RDJ in future projects.

The project incorporated the following works -

• Stripping Out and Modifications of Existing Services
• New Distribution and Switchgear to suit
• Lighting including emergency lighting
• Small Power
• All Associated Containment
• All Electrical Works Tested and Results Recorded

All installed items meet the following standards -

• BS 7671:2008 (amendment 1:2011)
• BS EN 61439
• BS 5424 (Parts 2 & 3)
• BS 7430

R.D. Jukes & Co. Ltd. worked closely with the services Design Consultant and Principal Contractor to deliver this project for Heath Mount School.
